Troubleshoot and repair industrial chillers; cooling towers; split, package & rooftop direct expansion systems; central plant chilled/heated water and steam systems; water- and air-cooled condensers; and all associated equipment.
Troubleshoot and repair industrial pumps, temperature controllers, industrial plumbing equipment, general plumbing.
Strong analytical skills in electrical, electronic, pneumatic, and mechanical controls, control software logic, direct digital control and components.
Maintain and repair control valves, dampers, v.a.v. boxes, linkages, actuators, compressors, cooling/heating coils, etc.
Install and maintain power and control circuits (voltages up to 500vac) including conduit installation.
Diagnoses and repairs or replaces faulty electronic components, such as printed circuit boards.
Must be capable of soldering on refrigeration and air conditioning pipes/coils etc. and certified in refrigerant reclaim and recovery.
Diagnoses and replaces faulty mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic components of machines and equipment.
Responsible for quality assurance aspects relative to the job/task performed
Maintains work area housekeeping and assist in department/team housekeeping efforts
Adheres to and follow all safety procedures, i.e., lock-out/tag-out; report safety concerns, use appropriate PPE as required, and follow all safety practices
Qualifications/Requirements:High School Diploma/GED
Minimum 2 years of experience as an HVAC Technician or HVAC related maintenance
Minimum of 1 certificate of completion in the air conditioning/refrigeration, maintenance of electrical, hydraulic, mechanical, and building maintenance and plumbing
Certified in refrigerant reclaim and recovery.
Willing and able to work overtime and any shift and weekends.
Requires the ability to read, write, and speak the English language: interpret and follow written procedures, and follow verbal instructions.
Requires the ability to read blueprints and schematics
Operate a scissor lift, forklift and articulated boom lift.
Must be proficient in repairing and maintaining machinery in operating condition.
Have demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and repair/replace mechanical and electro-mechanical systems
Working knowledge of MS Outlook and MS Excel
