Position Description

The MCED Medical Affairs Intern will work alongside the Director of Medical Affairs for MCED. The position is intended to be a full-time summer opportunity for a medically-focused (i.e., seeking a degree in biological sciences) undergraduate to obtain hands-on experience in medical affairs.

Essential Duties         

Collaborate with medical affairs on various initiatives including publications, advisory boards, medical education opportunities, training, and speaker development.Support the medical community, as needed, with up-to-date medical information and product information.Generate a key opinion leader (KOL) engagement strategy for MCED that maps, identifies, profiles and prioritizes thought leaders and establish key performance indicators/metrics.Communicate clinical insights on new data to the MCED Medical Affairs team to inform a key opinion leader engagement strategy.Identify potential KOLs and related external activities that would be valuable to the MCED program.Regular and reliable attendance.Scheduling requirements:Ability to work designated schedule.Physical requirements:Ability to work on a mobile device, tablet, or in front of a computer screen and/or perform typing for approximately 90% of a typical working day.Ability to grasp with both hands; pinch with thumb and forefinger; turn with hand/arm; reach above shoulder height.Ability to work on a computer and phone simultaneously.Ability to use a telephone through a headset.Ability to comply with any applicable personal protective equipment requirements.

Minimum Qualifications

Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program in biology, chemistry, pharmacy, or other medical-related discipline.Basic proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.Demonstrated ability to perform the Essential Duties of the position with or without accommodation.Strong communication skills.#LI-HE1

Salary Range:

$34,000.00 - $54,000.00

 

The annual base salary shown is for this position located in US - WI - Madison on a full-time basis.
