General Purpose:Responsible for developing assortment strategy for designated product category in order to drive sales growth. Communicate and execute Merchandising strategies partnering with cross-functional teams.
Key Accountabilities:
Business Reporting and Analysis
- Closely monitor sales trends, underline key insights and communicate findings through regular reporting (monthly, quarterly) and ad-hoc business reviews.
- Drive Market Intelligence (competitive research) to provide regional teams and NY Central counterparts with key local insights.
- Identify and communicate new product development opportunities through deep knowledge of product category performance and market environment.
- Participate in defining and implementing local pricing strategy.
AssortmentPlanning
- Responsible for developing new product assortment strategy to drive category sales growth and maximize inventory efficiency targets.
- Lead yearly and/or ad-hoc assortment reviews to maximize existing products sales productivity.
- Coordinate and amplify communication on new product launches, partnering with cross-functional teams and efficiently communicating to stores.
- Participate in developing new store assortments.
Channel Management
- Drive implementation of local Merchandising strategy, closely communicating with cross-functional regional teams as well as NY Central counterparts (Management teams, PR/Marketing, CVM, Retail team).
- Provide daily support to entire store network (~60) by responding to all Product/Stock inquiries through the inquiry system, via email and telephone on a daily basis.
- Communicate regional trends and issues with Central Category Management and Replenishment teams.
In-store Presentation
- Partner with local CVM team to drive floorplan productivity review and other merchandising projects.
- Conduct regular market visits and provide in-store support for new store openings.
Qualifications/Primary Job Requirements:
