Gundersen Health System is recruiting for a fellow trained, vitreoretinal surgeon to join a robust and established practice. The ideal candidate would be interested in surgical and medical retina, complex cataracts and potentially comprehensive ophthalmology.
Shared call is 1:10 with ten other board-certified Ophthalmologists on staff.
We are a full-service ophthalmology department with comprehensive ophthalmologists as well as subspecialists including cornea, glaucoma, retina, pediatrics and oculoplastics.

We ensure state-of-the-art eye care to the citizens of southwest Wisconsin, southeast Minnesota and northeast Iowa. In addition to our eleven ophthalmologists, our professional eye care team includes 29 optometrists, certified ophthalmic and optometric technicians, contact lens specialists, low vision personnel, and on-site opticians.
Completion of an accredited graduate medical training program and fellowship training is required for this role. In addition, must have or be able to obtain a license to practice in our multi-state region with no restrictions or limitations. Medical staff may need to provide outreach service as part of their role in the system. Teaching students, residents, fellows or clinical staff is cornerstone to our Medical Education philosophy and an expectation of all medical staff.
