MDM Specialist

Basic Qualifications:

High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution.Must be able to provide documentation in the original form establishing both your identity and your employment eligibility in the U.S.This position entails access to export-controlled items you must be able to lawfully obtain access to such items.

Preferred Qualifications:

Prefer Associate's degree or two years previous experience in a manufacturing production environment.Prefer knowledge of investment casting process flow.

Job Summary: 

Provide manufacturing with proper documentation (Activity Instructions, Product Criteria, Engineering Orders, etc.)Facilitate in-plant review of customer specifications, manufacturing documents and blue printsSupport the requirements of the Arconic/HLC Quality SystemsPrimary control point for manufacturing and quality system documentation

Essential Functions:

Managing daily workload within departmentProcess manufacturing documentation in a timely and accurate manner, per standard processes and formatsProcess customer specifications and blueprints Coordinate the review of manufacturing documentation by Engineering, Manufacturing and QualityMaintain open lines of communication with engineering, manufacturing, quality and salesConduct periodic quality systems auditsRead and interpret Product Criteria (PC) and Activity Instructions (AI)Comply with all site required policies and procedures including but not limited to EHS, Quality, and Code of Conduct 

Job Responsibilities:

Maintains and revises existing documents (Routers, Forms, Specs, PC’s, AI’s, etc.) to provide up-to-date, accurate work instructions to manufacturing.Maintains document revision history, including archive database.Maintains and routes Customer & Industry Specifications, and blueprints, according to established processes.Interfaces with Engineering and Manufacturing, to re-route documents as needed for final approval.Maintains metrics to ensure continuous improvement.Development of Product Criteria and Temporary Instructions, as required, from engineering drafts.Establishes document standardization including instruction templates and document file structure.SPA for Record Retention Process.Performs other work-related duties as assigned.

Skills and Abilities: 

Basic Computer skillsAS9100 knowledge preferred.
