Primary Purpose:
Essential duties and responsibilities:
Manage and monitor the overall processing of corporate measurement information through corporate transactional systemsManage the measurement information reporting processes and measurement systems that provide information to upstream/downstream business groups and external customers.Manage the physical pipeline balance and reporting process for assigned pipelines Work with L&U Team on pipeline balancing issuesManage the work priorities and responsibilities of personnel within the assigned team(s)Respond and manage measurement data audit requests to and from external customersSet and communicate the overall work expectations for assigned team(s)Ensure employees are meeting requirements for all corporate mandated training and following corporate policiesReadily communicate company information and important updates that impact the teamUnderstand and be able to provide information and support for employee questions regarding company policiesRepresent the Measurement Department in various types of internal and external business meetings and business projectsDevelop and implement processes and procedures for assigned team(s)Work with Director and other managers to develop departmental goals, procedures and guidelinesProvide support and guidance for department committeesEnsure team goals and expectations of team align with department goals and expectationsMonitor work processes for adherence to proceduresMonitor work process and ensure SOX compliance and provide SOX documentation as requiredManage and work with team supervisor (where applicable) to develop group and individual training plans for team(s)Manage and work with team supervisor (where applicable) on employee development process for assigned team(s)Ensure supervisors are effectively performing daily and monthly responsibilitiesEnsure employee work schedules adequately support daily and monthly measurement responsibilitiesManage personnel performance issues and implement performance improvement plansWork with Director and managers on projects and process improvementsLead teams on special projects and initiatives as assigned by managementWork closely with IT support to address system problems and issuesLead or participate in measurement discrepancy resolution with 3rd party companiesEnsure individual and team compliance with department budget requirements and guidelinesWork with resources to develop and test measurement system improvements and enhancementsDrive training initiatives and process for team(s) and departmentParticipate in Industry related organizations and committeesMay perform other related duties as assigned Position Requirements
Education:
A Business or Engineering degree from an accredited college is preferredExperience/Specific knowledge:
At least 10 years in natural gas/liquid pipeline industry or related industry, specifically in area of gas and liquid measurement At least 3 years in a management or supervisory roleLead roles in project management will be considered in lieu of management or supervisory roleWorking conditions:
Travel 30 to 50%Work in an office settingSupervisory responsibilityOccasionally provide backup coverage for department directorPreferred education, certifications, experience and skills above the minimum requirements; not required but advantageous in this position:
Four-year degree from an accredited college in the areas of business or engineeringDirect experience with gas and liquid measurement processesWorking knowledge of gas and liquid measurement transactional systemsDirect experience in leading projects and project teamsExperience with Microsoft Access or SQL query writing toolsCertificates from applicable gas and liquid industry training courses are preferredPay range is $135,800 - $186,750 per year. This position includes a discretionary annual incentive plan. Job level and pay commensurate with experience and skill sets.
