Job Overview TE Connectivity's Quality Control and Reliability Teams ensure product and / or product components comply with specifications and quality standards. They test and inspect products against performance and integrity criteria to ensure product quality and reliability, and to determine the suitability of product release. Tasks Summary and Responsibilities Reports directly to Measuring laboratory team leader: Analyses the measuring requests Understand drawings and define a measuring timeline. Define measuring methods Identify the tools and accessories to perform the measuring according to defined drawings. Performs the measurements Preparation of the samples (measurements points…) Machinery programming Test fixture preparation or identification (Can work on CAD). Performs the measurements according defined drawings (CD, PD…) Collects and analyses test results Synthesises all results Comments and discuss about measuring results Records all observations in order to constitute the technical file in order to update the product file. Responsible to the lab documentation associated to the measuring request Writes the measuring reports. Files the lab document into the lab data base Comments/and answers all questions from the measuring requester to report them. Can launch some more new method of measuring after discussion with requestors Regular interactions to understand measurement requirements from internal customers Can propose improvement on the Lab area. Insures the good working order of the measuring equipments Identifies the equipment failure Insures maintenance First Level and allowed maintenance possible. Informs the personal of the lab in charge of the maintenance interface with the supplier Insures 5S plus1 in the Lab area. Ensures a technical watch on the lab environment Report to the leader about improvement on the measuring station. Work in CT Lab to support for CT scanning of our products Maintain and organize the CT lab documents using 5s techniques. Support the Geometrical and Dimensional Metrology of New products (First Article Inspection, Post Tool Correction Dimensional Validation, PPAP Measurement Reports etc.) What your background should look like:
Educational Degree :
BAC+2 ou Bac +3 (BTS /DUT) in Mechanics, electrotechnic, electronic, electromechanical and “mesures physiques”.
Professional Experience :
1 to 2 years experience in various Technical environment (Laboratory ideally) or areas of Metrology/Quality Assurance, in Manufacturing Beginner can be accepted under supervisionSpecial Qualifications, Knowledge and Skills :
Technical capabilities: Expert functional/domain knowledge. Good knowledge of trends and technologies in Dimensional Metrology domain. Excellent technical communication skills. Fluent in English. Ability to interact with and contribute in cross-functional initiatives and discussions.Other important things to note :
Precise, exactness, logic, Understand, analyse and synthesise one situation or some data collections. Being able to translate this in a clear way in writing or oral, self governing, curious, interested by the science. Knowledge of various Techniques and Software used for Dimensional Inspection of Molded and Stamped Parts. Knowledge of international standards and codes (ASME, ISO) related to product measurement and validation.
