You will support the design and development of new ideas and solutions for new product development as well as supporting current products modification and improvements based on in-service needs and market strategy. You will support the concept, design and implementation of mechanical parts, sub-assemblies and final products.
This position is within the Analysis, Additive & Mechanical Design team supporting Environmental Control Systems (ECS) product lines. Our team is part of Aerospace Engineering and Technology, Control Systems (CS) organization.
Job Duties:
Perform low-mid complexity design activities of components for pneumatic controls systems and turbomachinery products such as: valves, compressors and fans. The scope of work includes the support of design solutions for newly proposed and existing products. Support results presented in design reviews with the appropriate documentation to meet program deliverables and requirements. Applicant must work effectively with analysis teams, global support, and chief engineers.

•Bachelor of Science in Mechanical, Mechatronic, Aerospace, or equivalent experience
•Demonstrated experience with CAD and PLM tools. (NX and TC)
•2+ years of experience in a Mechanical Engineering field.

•Some experience in new product development for environmental control systems (Pneumatic Controls Systems and Turbomachinery preferred).
•Proven understanding of Aerospace drawing requirements and industry standards.
•Experience creating 3D models and detailed drawings in a CAD environment (NX preferred).
•Experience collaborating in a product data management system (Teamcenter preferred).
•Capable of performing low-mid complexity design solutions of mechanical components and systems.
•Proven understanding of GD&T and drawing interpretation per ASME Y14 Series.
•Ability to work with minimum supervision.
•Willingness to learn new technologies.
