Mechanic A $4,000 SIGN ON BONUS UNTIL 02/28/2025 Transdev is actively seeking A-Level Technicians for their fixed route services in Englewood, CO. We're looking for qualified and experienced fleet technicians to diagnose, repair, and perform daily safety inspections on vehicles and equipment. Annual Boot ReimbursementAnnual Tool ReimbursementBenefits may vary depending on location policyKey Responsibilities:Performs transit vehicle maintenance that is compliant with Transdev standards and RTD.Inspects, diagnoses, services and/or repairs all assigned transit vehicles and related mechanical equipment. Ensures accurate upgrades and/or modifications on coach systems, road calls, and on-the-road repairs as needed.Coaches and monitors team members on the work teamOther duties as required. Schedule:Shift Hours: 5:00 PM - 3:30 AMWork Schedule: 4 days a week (10-hour shifts)Must be able to work shifts or flexible work schedules as needed. Qualifications:Minimum of 3 years’ experience with heavy duty diesel Must have a high school diploma, GED or equivalent.Must be able to read and understand wiring diagrams and schematics.Must have knowledge of Cummins In-Site program and functions.Must have in-depth computer knowledge to be able to scan and diagnose trouble codes. ASE certifications required; ASE certification program provided. Excellent communication skills with ability to read, interpret safety documents, blueprints, schematics, and other mechanical diagrams.Subject to a DOT drug testing and physical if applicable. DOT Regulation 49 CFR Part 40 does not authorize the use of Schedule I drugs, including marijuana, for any reason Physical Requirements:The essential functions of this position require the ability to: The employee is generally subjected to long periods spent sitting, typing, or looking at a computer screen. Work outside in varying temperature, weather, and humidity conditions-100% of the job is performed outside, work alone and in remote locations. Sit for extended periods (up to 6–8 hours per day); frequently walk for long distances and on possible sloped ground or slippery and uneven surfaces Push and pull, occasionally throughout the workday; lift material weighing up to 50 lbs. with or without assistance; occasionally bend, kneel, or crouch to files or equipment stored at ground level. Withstand heavy traffic areas while performing the duties of the job; tolerate exposure to considerable amounts of dust, vehicle fumes and noise.
