Position Summary
The Mechanic is responsible for fabrication, assembly, debug, testing and troubleshooting of all mechanical components for Diesel systems. This role requires excellent mechanical aptitude and teamwork skills. The role also requires close interaction with the manufacturing teams to ensure any issues get communicated and resolved in a timely manner.
Core Duties and Responsibilities
Ability to install mechanical parts and sheet metal assemblies using basic machine shop toolsAbility to weld aluminum, carbon and stainless steel using MIG & TIG processAbility to assemble and troubleshoot 12-volt electro-mechanical systemsAbility to debug and troubleshoot electrical and pneumatic mechanical systemsMust be able to communicate effectively in both verbal and written formAbility to read mechanical part drawings a plusPerforms other related duties as assignedEducation and Experience
High school diploma, plus 2-5 years of experience in similar roleWorking knowledge of data collection and statistics2-5 years’ experience with commercial trailers with pony motorsStrong verbal and written communication skillsUncompromising dedication to qualityAbility to multi-task effectivelyExcellent follow-throughMust be driven and self-motivatedTeamwork oriented and focused
