Mechanics Needed at Our Plover, WI Plant 
Starting Wage: $28.44 per hour 
Schedule: Work 50 percent of the year, with a predictable rotating schedule

Structured Work Schedule: Work 84 hours every two weeks, with 76 hours of straight pay and 8 hours of scheduled overtime. 

Frequent Performance Reviews: Pay increases every six months for the first two years.

What you’ll do:   

Utilize your mechanical knowledge in maintain a high speed can manufacturing line. 

Troubleshoot, maintain, repair, and modify all mechanical systems.   

Operate and maintain can line machinery in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.   

Use precision measuring tools to work within tolerances of .0010.   

Contribute improvement ideas for the work area, safety, quality, cost control, and productivity.   

  

We need you to have:   

High school diploma, GED, or equivalency.  A technical school degree or certification in a related field is a plus. 

Willingness to learn statistical processing control and apply it for a tool for continuous improvement. 

Operate and maintain Silgan's can lines by performing quality checks and documenting results.
