Job Description Primary Location: Ogden, Utah Diesel Mechanic: Repairs and maintains fleet vehicles and equipment including heavy to light trucks, cars, trailers, and forklifts and conducts light manufacturing by performing the following duties. Reads problem description and diagnosis equipment to determine malfunction and corrective action necessary for repair. Inspects vehicles for defective equipment. Performs preventive and corrective maintenance on all fleet vehicle systems. Overhauls gas or diesel engines. Drives or operates repaired vehicles and equipment to verify conformance to specifications. Installs special lifting or towing attachments, hydraulic systems, shields, or other devices according to technical manuals or schematic drawings. Wears company provided uniform and safety devices as appropriate to comply with safety standards and to present a professional image. Other duties may be assigned by the immediate supervisor or other supervisor at any time. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES Lead mechanic supervises subordinate mechanics.
