Job Overview:
Under general supervision, to perform a variety of routine - to - skilled general preventive/corrective maintenance duties in the repair, alteration, improvement and modification of buildings, equipment, and facilities.
Qualifications:
Required:
High School Diploma, Technical School, graduate or equivalent. Completion of apprenticeship or equivalent on the job training.One to three years in the building with background in electrical, plumbing, carpentry and H.V.A.C. equipment repair.Scheduling Requiremenf:

All work performed shall meet or exceed codes and/or standards for the industry and manufacturers specifications must be met. Normally acceptable methods for installation, repair and maintenance of equipment, appliances, and/or systems shall be evident at all times.Performs minor-skilled tasks such as repairs and adjustments necessary for proper operation of mechanical, electrical, H.V.A.C. and plumbing but not limited to the following and in the priority instructed by supervision.Light bulb and fuse replacement.Replaces ceiling tiles.Repairs beds, desks, chairs, file cabinets tables and other furniture.Assembles cabinets, chairs, shelving tables and other furniture.Repairs doors.Repairs to faucet and plumbing fixtures. Clearing drains. Repairs Nurse Call Systems. Clean and service fixed and portable fans and air conditioners. Repair kitchen equipment, dish washing machines, etc.. Knowledgeable in the operation of computerized systems and its related equipment and is capable of making necessary adjustments: i.e. Pneumatic tube system, fire alarm, chlorine systems, etc.. Responds immediately to alarms throughout the facility.Other Duties:
