Job Description: We are seeking a Service Technician to support the production, assembly, and maintenance of custom vehicles, such as fire trucks, lube trucks, service bodies, truck-mounted cranes, crane bodies, air compressors, platforms, vans, and lift gates. Responsibilities include installing vehicle service beds, wiring, hydraulic components, and performing custom metal fabrication.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist in the production, assembly, and maintenance of custom vehicles.Install vehicle service beds, wiring, and hydraulic components.Troubleshoot and install hydraulic components.Perform custom metal fabrication.Work with basic chassis wiring (tail, marker, stop, and turn lights).Handle trailer wiring, 6 & 7 way plugs, and brake controllers.Install flatbeds, service bodies, lift axles, crane kits, dump bodies, and other components.Install PTO, hydraulic pumps, and 3-line hydraulic systems.Fabricate metal using MIG, wire-feed, air arc, and plasma cutter.

Essential Skills:

Proficiency in vehicle wiring, hydraulics, and fabrication.Expertise in wire feed/MIG welding.Ability to troubleshoot and install hydraulic components.Experience in custom metal fabrication.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

High School Diploma or GED preferred.5+ years of experience in a similar role involving installation of service beds, vehicle wiring, troubleshooting, and installation of hydraulic components and custom metal fabrication.

Work Environment:

Fast-paced industrial work environment located in a vehicle shop.Typical work schedule is Monday to Friday from 7 AM to 4 PM, with additional and flexible hours expected.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $25.00/hr.
