*Description* Nuvance Health has a network of convenient hospital and outpatient locations — Danbury Hospital, New Milford Hospital, Norwalk Hospital and Sharon Hospital in Connecticut, and Northern Dutchess Hospital, Putnam Hospital Center and Vassar Brothers Medical Center in New York — plus multiple primary and specialty care physician practices locations, including The Heart Center, a leading provider of cardiology care, and two urgent care offices. Non-acute care is offered through various affiliates, including the Thompson House for rehabilitation and skilled nursing services, and the Home Care organizations. *Job Summary* Performs a variety of maintenance duties in the Electrical, Plumbing, Carpentry and general repairs that are necessary to maintain the Hospital, buildings, systems and grounds. Performs PM’s and related duties as directed. Ability to work independently. All Codes (NY State Building and Construction, Life Safety, NFPA, OSHA and DNV) will be adhered to. *Qualifications*: · Relevant commercial/industrial or hospital experience preferred. · Must be mechanically inclined and have some training in any maintenance field. · All work will be in accordance with established policies and procedure of the OSHA, NEC, NFPA, NAPE and the Engineering/Maintenance Department. Performs a variety of duties in and around the buildings and grounds of the Hospital facility in completing all tasking obtains ability to use wrenches, electric drills, pipe cutters and benders, hammers and various other hand/power tools. · Must possess excellent customer service skills and the ability to communicate with individuals effectively and clearly at all levels through-out the organization. · Individuals in this position are required to exercise universal precautions, use personal protective equipment and devices, and learn the policies concerning safety and infection control. ·High School diploma or equivalent or related trade school certification preferred. · Valid N.Y.S.
