Small Engine Mechanic

CANDIDATE MUST ALSO HAVE A DRIVER'S LICENSE TO QUALIFY. IF YOUR RESUME DOES NOT SHOW THE REQUIRED WORK EXPERIENCE; YOUR APPLICATION WILL BE REJECTED.
CANDIDATES MUST HAVE PREVIOUS experience in service and repair of outdoor power equipment, such as lawnmowers, string trimmers, gas sheers, and chain saws. Seasonally prepare snow blowers and salt spreaders for winter season; subsequently prepare Spring Summer equipment for the Landscaping Season.
RATE OF PAY IS DEPENDENT UPON PREVIOUS WORK EXPERIENCE AND ANY CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES YOU HOLD, STARTING RANGE OF PAY IS $18 - $25 PER HOUR.
You’d be responsible for:
The service and repair outdoor power equipment, such as lawnmowers, string trimmers, gas sheers, chain saws; other small engine and two-cycle/four-cycle equipment. As well as Seasonally prepare snow blowers and salt spreaders for winter season and Lawn Maintenance equipment for Spring/Summer Season.
+ Discuss equipment issues, maintenance plans, and work performed
+ Perform routine engine maintenance, such as oil changes and sharpening mower blades
+ Test and inspect engines for malfunctioning parts; Repair or replace worn, defective, or broken parts
+ Reassemble and reinstall components and engines following repairs
+ Keep records of inspections, test results, work performed, and parts used
+ Keep shop clean of debris and hazards
You might be a good fit if you have:
+ Minimum 1 year of experience in landscaping equipment repair, on-site troubleshooting, and diagnostics
+ Minimum 1 year of experience with Small Engine (2-cycle and 4-cycle) maintenance and repair experience
+ Valid Driver’s License (REQUIRED) with Chauffer’s Endorsement (Preferred)
+ Work 8+ hours per day with applicable breaks x 5 days/week (some overtime/weekend work required)
+ Ability to lift and carry 40 lbs.
+ Ability to load/unload trailers (up to 50 lbs.)
+ Ability to bend, stoop and twist continuously throughout the day
+ Practice workplace safety
+ Must be punctual and reliable
And while not mandatory, it would be great if you also have:
+ Bilingual (Spanish/English) a plus
+ Trailer Maintenance and repair experience
+ Welding experience
