Responsibilities:
Repair and overhaul structural components for F-18 aircraft, ensuring compliance with aviation standards.Perform structural modifications, sheet metal repairs, and assembly of aircraft components, including flight controls, hydraulics, pneumatics, fuel systems, and mechanical components.Troubleshoot and diagnose airframe and power plant malfunctions, applying technical expertise to restore equipment functionality.Interpret blueprints, manufacturer manuals, and technical documentation to execute repairs and modifications accurately.Utilize specialized aircraft tools, including test equipment, torque wrenches, dial indicators, micrometers, sheet metal brakes, and shears.Conduct close-tolerance drilling and precision measuring for aircraft structural repairs.Ensure adherence to technical publications and documentation, including aircraft logs and records.Lead teams in complex structural repairs as needed and maintain project schedules.Qualifications:
Educational Requirements:
High school diploma or GED required.Experience Requirements:
