Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Powertrain Test Engineer to join our team. The role involves preparing vehicles for testing, coordinating with emissions labs, and reviewing reports to troubleshoot issues. ResponsibilitiesCoordinate the preparation and testing of powertrain durability vehicles.Coordinate emissions testing and resolve powertrain issues on durability vehicles.Perform root cause analysis of issues, develop and confirm countermeasures.Coordinate with teams to ensure proper software/hardware updates are made.Conduct performance checks.Work with the emissions lab to schedule testing and receive testing results.Review reports and troubleshoot issues.Essential SkillsMinimum 2 years of experience with light-duty engine development in the areas of combustion, emissions control/OBD, and drivability.Experience with light-duty engine control units, especially Bosch control units.Understanding of light-duty emissions and OBD regulations.Proficiency with powertrain development tools such as INCA and Matlab/Simulink.Ability to author clear and concise technical reports for a wide global audience.B.S. in Mechanical, Automotive, or Electrical Engineering.Additional Skills & QualificationsValid US Driver's License.10-25% travel within the US.MBRDNA specific Driver Safety Training/ F2 Equivalent to be acquired after start date.Work Environment
This role involves working with advanced powertrain development tools and technologies in a collaborative setting. The position requires travel within the US (10-25%) and adherence to specific safety training protocols. The work environment is dynamic and fast-paced, focusing on vehicle testing and emissions control.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $47.00/hr.
