Arcadis is seeking a Director to lead an extensive mechanical, electrical, and fire protection engineering business within our Places US Design & Engineering team. We are looking to grow our team of skilled multi-discipline engineers and engineering consultants throughout North America. The role sits within our Places Global Business Area (GBA). We work with our clients around the world to create, support, and enhance smart, safe, and sustainable places where people live, work, learn and thrive. Places impact on the quality of people’s lives through new or redeveloped Industrial & Logistics (including Intermodal Terminals, Data Centres, and Manufacturing), Commercial, Retail, Residential, Defence or Social Infrastructure (Arts, Sports, Health and Education) developments.
Role description:
In this role, you will be accountable for leading a team of several-hundred engineers through ownership of client development, service excellence, people management, and business acumen. That accountability includes maintaining a culture of innovation and excellence, fostering a spirit to intelligently take on new challenges, and advancing the team skills needed to provide the best quality design solutions. You will actively collaborate with your Arcadis peers leading a variety design and construction disciplines. Beyond all, you will spearhead our effort to become the best and largest M/E/FP engineering consultant in the United States.
This position has flexible working hours, and you will join a collaborative team that truly values its people. This is a key location based position. While work can be performed across the United States, we are searching for individuals in the Texas, US Northeast (NY, MA), California, US Midwest (Chicago, MI, OH) or US Southeast (TN, GA, SC, NC) geographies. 15 or more years relevant experience BSc/BEng or MSc/MEng or equivalent in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or other relevant discipline Professional Engineer licence Comfort and confidence-bringing in client-facing discussions with direct experience in leading and winning new work opportunities Experience working with projects that utilize Fundamental knowledge of Autodesk Platforms and other digital design tools including Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) or Building Information Modelling (BIM) engineered solutionsWhy Arcadis?

Arcadis offers benefits for full time and part time positions. We offer nine paid holidays and 15 days PTO that accrue per year. The salary range for this position is $200,000 - $250,000. Actual salaries will vary and are based on several factors, such as experience, education, budget, internal equity, project and location.
