Mechanical Assembly Technician (Afternoon Shift)

Primary Responsibilities 

Assemble, repair, rework and/or troubleshoot complex opto-mechanical lens assembliesMaintenance of system file and tracking assembly documentsEnsure all tasks are completed to scheduled delivery dateGenerate Non-Conformance ReportsAfternoon Shift work required

Desired Education and Experiences 

Diploma in Mechanical technology or equivalentStrong mechanical background Familiarity with reading and understanding technical drawings and schematicsThorough understanding of techniques in the use of hand tools, soldering, crimping and measurement equipmentExcellent manual dexterityStrong interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to work within a team environment1 - 2+ years’ experience in a mechanical fieldPrevious experience working in an AS9100 environment an assetExperience with Lean manufacturing an assetDiploma in Mechanical technology or equivalent
