Mechanical Component Design Intern (6 Months)
Job Description SummaryStructural hardware owners are uniquely at the center of the design, manufacture, and operation of their components – integrating with many specialties to balance durability with aerodynamics, aeromechanics, producibility, delivery, and cost of ownership.

Job Description

Essential Responsibilities:

Lead the design and development of structural components, ensuring optimal aerodynamic performance and structural integrity.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including aerodynamics, materials, manufacturing, and quality to ensure the successful integration of structural component into designs.

Build and exercise physics-based static and dynamic finite element models to optimize the performance, reliability, and durability of structural components.

Develop and maintain technical documentation, including design specifications, test plans, interface requirements, and validation reports.

Oversee the testing and validation of structural components, ensuring compliance with industry standards, design practices, and regulatory requirements.

Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the performance and cost-effectiveness of structural components.

Provide technical support and guidance to manufacturing and maintenance teams to ensure the successful production and operation of structural components. Assist the engine assembly team during borescope inspection.

Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices related to structural components.

Qualifications/Requirements:

Undergraduate (3/4 year), Master or Doctorate (not completed) in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering

Fundamental understanding of mechanical design and at least one finite element and modeling tool (e.g., ANSYS, Unigraphics, SolidWorks).

Coding skills (Python language is preferred)

Good command of English & Turkish (reading/writing).

Good command of MS Office Skills (especially MS Excel and MS Power point).
