Mechanical Design Engineer
As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will contribute to the design and development of new products and related components, supporting a wide range of industries including sports and recreation, construction, agriculture, and on-highway markets. Working closely with industrial designers and cross-functional teams, you will help bring new concepts to life through hands-on design, prototyping, and testing. You’ll have access to an on-site prototype shop equipped with tools for rapid prototyping, 5-axis machining, injection molding, EDM, and metal forming. This role is ideal for engineers with a few years of experience who are ready to take ownership of projects and grow their design and development skills.

Your Challenge:
Support product development and mechanical design activities under the guidance of senior engineers and the Engineering Manager.
Participate in concept generation, detailed design, and design reviews for New Product Introduction (NPI) projects.
Contribute to technical processes such as DFMEA, PFMEA, and APQP.
Create and update 3D CAD models and engineering drawings (SolidWorks preferred).
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including industrial designers, manufacturing, and quality teams to ensure product performance, manufacturability, and compliance with requirements.
Assist with prototyping, testing, and validation of designs using tools such as Finite Element Analysis (FEA).
Support documentation of product specifications, quality standards, and testing results.
Engage in technical problem-solving and suggest improvements for product function, cost, and manufacturability.
Help coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, including customer engineering teams, to ensure product requirements are met.
What You Bring
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
3 to 5 years of experience in mechanical product development or design
Proficiency in 3D CAD software (SolidWorks preferred).
Familiarity with prototyping techniques and design for manufacturing principles.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment.
Experience with FEA tools and mechanical testing is a plus.
Exposure to ERP/MRP systems and knowledge of quality systems (e.g., TS 16949, FMVSS) is beneficial.
Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing or Kaizen principles is a plus.
