Summary: Seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer for technical innovation and development of customized packaging equipment.
Job Requirements:
Strong working knowledge of SolidWorks (Required)
Certificate or degree in mechanical design, mechatronics, mechanical engineering, or related field
Minimum of 5 years' experience in mechanical design/mechatronics
Working knowledge of mechanical parts, strength of materials, mechanics properties of materials
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word
Preferred Skills:
Experience in electrical design and/or PLC programming
PE license
Knowledge of CAM software, specifically AutoDesk FeatureCAM
Job Responsibilities:
Meet with stakeholders to understand needs and requirements for new products or systems
Create conceptual drawings to assist sales efforts
Research, design, evaluate, maintain mechanical products and systems applying engineering principles
Apply design and fabrication knowledge ensuring project functionality and manufacturability
Generate customized 3D models and assemblies using established designs library
Produce 2D manufacturing drawings, layouts, sketches, and notes
Check completed layouts/drawings for fit, function, standards conformity, accuracy of calculations/dimensions/tolerances
Specify system components; prepare BOMs or direct product modifications to meet performance specifications
Pay Details: $70,000.00 to $90,000.00 per year
