Description
Design and detail conveyors from initial concept to series production, focusing on manufacturability, serviceability, and cost efficiency.Modify conveyors to meet the needs of specific applications.Create accurate, detailed manufacturing drawings using SolidWorks, ensuring consistency with company design guidelines and industry GD&T standards.Collaborate closely with production, vendors, and relevant departments to ensure high-quality products are delivered on time and within budget.Consult with engineers and managers regarding materials, specifications, and design criteria to ensure models and drawings align with customer and system requirements.Communicate with vendors to gather necessary information about parts and applications, providing this information to the purchasing department.Coordinate fabrication and installation activities to ensure products and systems adhere to engineering, design, and customer specifications.Analyze and interpret complex information; collect and research data; define production procedures and design necessary fixtures/devices; develop creative solutions; apply design principles; use engineering tools such as FEA simulation and engineering formulas with keen attention to detail.Additional Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering1+ years of professional experience in 3D modeling and drafting in SolidWorksKnowledge of mechanical parts, experience in conveyor designs or heavy equipment preferredUnderstanding of manufacturing processes such as sheet metal forming, welding, machining, assemblyProactive, solution and detail oriented, good communication skills Fluent in EnglishPay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $32.00 - $36.00
