Based in our Shakopee, MN location, the Mechanical Design Engineer is responsible for designing and developing highly accurate, robust, and reliable pressure and temperature measurement devices. We provide complete measurement solutions that measure key customer processes using our proprietary sensing technologies and communicate data to the customer.
Our products are used across a wide range of industries to improve the efficient use of natural resources, ensure the safety of workers, and support critical infrastructure. Our broad portfolio provides the opportunity to work with a wide range of technologies, including injection molding, casting, machining, welding, brazing, glassing, 3D-printing of plastics and metals, and hybrid electrical/mechanical systems.
In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
Applying technical expertise, job experience and sound engineering practices, in the development of innovative products and processes Making sense of complex and sometimes contradictory information to resolve engineering challenges Leading design and development projects by coordinating team resources and activities, guiding the team through ambiguous situations, and communicating project updates to the larger organization Collaborating with global, cross-functional, diverse project teams to ensure new designs meet industry standards and customer requirements Working with manufacturing, marketing, supply chain, sales, quality, and customers to provide guidance on technical matters Providing continuation engineering support for existing products Identifying and implement product and process cost reductions and improvements Who You Are: You effectively communicate in various settings: one-on-one, small and large groups, or among diverse styles and position levels. You uncover root causes to difficult problems. You make decisions and take actions without the total picture. You rely on a mixture of analysis, wisdom, experience, and judgment when making decisions. You partner with others to get work done. Our training programs and initiatives focus on end-to-end development, from onboarding through senior leadership. We provide a wide range of development opportunities, including face-to-face and virtual training, mentorship and coaching, project management, and on-the-job training.
Our compensation philosophy is simple: we pay a competitive base salary, within the local market in which we operate, and reward performance during our annual merit review process. The salary range for this role is $90,000 - $110,000 annually, commensurate with the skills, talent, capabilities, and experience each candidate brings to a role.
