Your Role:

Acts as engineer under the direction of senior staff member on wide range of building projects Performs site visits for documentation and cost estimating of building mechanical systems and conditions Coordinates system layout and drawings with other disciplines Develops appropriate system concepts and layouts Designs building mechanical systems (primarily HVAC) including calculations, energy modeling, and cost estimating under the direction of senior staff member Prepares technical specifications under the direction of senior staff member Reviews and evaluates shop drawings and product submittals Visits construction sites to inspect work in progress or completed Prepares engineering reports Conduct activities in line with internal procedures, legislation, and industry standards Pursue continuous professional development and maintain a high degree of discipline knowledge and awareness Work in a safe manner at all times and report all health and safety incidents and concerns Additional duties as required.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering with a minimum of 5+ years of relevant experience designing building mechanical systems Experience with design of mechanical systems for educational facilities is desired EIT required with the ability to obtain Professional Engineer licensure Proficient with Energy Modeling concepts and software with the ability to apply those to working projects Knowledge of applicable codes and standards Possesses and applies a broad knowledge of principles, practices and procedures to the completion of difficult assignments Knowledge of energy efficient solutions and designs. 

Anticipated Salary Range: 
$70,000 - $85,000. Please note that this range reflects the pay scale that Tetra Tech INE reasonably expects to pay for the role. The pay scale will also depend on various factors, such as job duties and requirements, and relevant experience and skills.
