Job Title: Mechanical System Design Engineer
Job Description

We are seeking a Mechanical System Design Engineer to design industrial laundry equipment with a focus on material handling equipment. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve project goals.

ResponsibilitiesDesign industrial laundry equipment with a focus on material handling equipment.Understand and interpret customer requirements, translating them into project and product specifications.Collaborate with a cross-functional team of electrical, software, and controls engineers for a concurrent design approach.Provide technical support to Purchasing, Production, Sales, and Product Support departments.Participate in lab testing and field trials.Travel up to 5% of the time for site survey visits.Essential SkillsProficiency in AutoCAD, CAD, and 3D modeling software such as Autodesk Inventor or SolidWorks.Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in the design of industrial equipment.Experience in designing mechanical industrial systems.Knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulic system design.Good understanding of materials and manufacturing processes.Additional Skills & QualificationsMaster’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.Experience with lean manufacturing and Design for Six Sigma (DFSS).Experience with CFD and FEA analysis.Experience with material conveying and bulk material handling.Electro-mechanical design experience.Proficiency in ERP and PLM/PDM software, especially Autodesk Vault.5-10 years of experience in the field.Work Environment

The successful candidate will work in an office environment within a team of approximately 45 engineers, including software, mechanical, and electrical engineers. Most of the work will be performed in the office, with occasional travel (about 15%) for site survey visits. The company is a leading supplier in the industrial laundry industry, offering a range of products from transportation and handling systems to complete project management for fully-equipped industrial laundries. The company has a global presence with over 1,500 employees worldwide.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $60000.00 - $90000.00/yr.
