Mechanical Design Engineer - £40,000 - Heywood, North Manchester

Plus various locations within the UK and Overseas as required

You must have a driving licence and a passport.

You will report to the Design manager / Director and collaborate with design/sales and projects, shop/assembly teams on design projects. You will be passionate about innovation and craftsmanship.

Responsibilities

Produce and design detailed drawings and documentation

Use specialised software to create models and drawings of productsResearch new materials and methods of developmentOrganise and maintain existing engineering recordsConstruct prototypes and confirm designs with design/sales teamPerform physical testing on engineering prototypesEnsure components and assemblies adhere to applicable industry and business standardsAttend / organise project meetings at both office and customers sites

To apply for the role you are requited to have

Experience in the use of Autodesk Inventor, Autocad and Vault Workgroup

Extensive experience of metal fabrication processes, experience within the Food manufacturing industry is very beneficial and experience with bulk handling systems
