Mechanical Design Engineer I
Job Title: Mechanical Design Engineer IJob Description We are seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer I to support wireless communications, data networking, test and measurement, telecommunications, broadcast, medical, military, aerospace, and industrial applications. You will lead and implement product design initiatives from the Mechanical Design discipline in a fast-paced, innovation-centric environment. This includes providing system analysis of customer applications and root cause analysis of product and customer system issues. Responsibilities + Lead product mechanical design efforts for product development. + Interface with customers to develop product applications. + Assist in root cause analysis efforts. + Support sustaining engineering efforts and process improvements. + Provide and/or direct technical customer support as required. + Perform 3D mechanical modeling. + Utilize ProE CAD package for design tasks. + Use AutoCAD for design tasks. + Apply direct machine shop experience. + Draft to ANSI standards Y14.5. + Maintain working knowledge of MS Office. Essential Skills + Engineering + Design + Mechanical engineering + Mechanical design + Proficiency in AutoCAD + Proficiency in SolidWorks + Proficiency in Creo + Experience in 3D mechanical modeling + Experience using ProE CAD package + Experience using AutoCAD + Direct machine shop experience + Drafting to ANSI standards Y14.5 + Working knowledge of MS Office Additional Skills & Qualifications + Knowledge of thermodynamic analysis + Knowledge of strength/properties of materials + Understanding of fiber optic mechanical properties + BS in Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent combination of education and experience + One to five years of experience in a similar manufacturing environment Work Environment This role involves working in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. You will engage in hands-on design using advanced CAD software and interact with customers to develop innovative applications. The position requires a working knowledge of MS Office and adherence to ANSI drafting standards. Flexibility and adaptability are crucial as you will support both product development and sustaining engineering efforts. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $31.25 - $33.65 Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
