As the Hardware Mechanical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for implementing cutting-edge technologies on existing and new development platforms, solving complex challenges in various domain areas, including aircraft flight command and control. You will collaborate with a matrix engineering and technology organization, working on multiple programs throughout your career.
Your responsibilities will include:
• Providing production support for the RWS product line, including Apache, TSS, RWS IRAD, and Longbow
• Collaborating with production centers, supporting functions, and senior Mechanical Engineers
• Performing engineering design and drawing revision and release tasks
• Working under the direction of a senior lead Design Engineer

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position requires the ability to obtain a Secret security clearance.
Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field from an accredited university.
• Proficiency in 3D modeling and design software for part and assembly design, and associated configuration management tool for managing engineering data and documentation.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, materials selection, and Design for Manufacturability (DFM) principles.
• Experience in creating detailed engineering drawings in compliance with ASME Y14.100 standards.
• Solid knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) in accordance with ASME Y14.5.
• Ability to work effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• ability to obtain DoD Secret Clearance as needed.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Detail-oriented with a focus on process and quality.
Desired Skills:
• Proficiency in PTC Creo for part and assembly design, and Windchill for managing engineering data and documentation.
• Previous experience in a Material Review Board (MRB) role, particularly in a production setting.
• Familiarity with the transition from development to production, including the resolution of design issues and optimization for mass production.
• Experience in mechanical design (preferably production phase) in aerospace or a similar industry.
• Prior experience with Lockheed Martin programs or similar defense contractors is a plus.
• Experience in working with, and providing technical oversight, to subcontracted suppliers
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
