Your needs are as unique as you are. Hybrid working is a way in which our people can balance their time between the office, home or another remote location. What you will be doing:
You will be responsible for the creation of component/assembly/systems designs and associated through-life justification that meet their requirements and product attributes of life, cost, availability, and safety margins.
Additionally, you will:
Providing supervision, coaching and mentoring to less experienced engineers.Leading direction and, in the future, strategy for technical development.Setting positive example for the continual improvement of the workplace and our culture.Organising and leading a small, highly motivated team to deliver a high paced challenging scope of work.Integrate cross-discipline engineering concepts which include manufacturing engineering, simulation, materials, testing, and supply chain.Document and verify information against sound mechanical engineering practices and references.Present evidence at technical reviews in front of peers and expert panels.Publish safety and technical reports which are subjected to customer and regulatory scrutiny.Who we’re looking for:

You will have be experienced in one of the above disciplines, but this does not need to be limited to Submarines.It is preferable that you are Degree Qualified or Apprentice Trained in a relevant engineering discipline, however this is not essential as experience is equally beneficial. External Skills/Experience can be from industries such as Civil Nuclear, Marine, Petro-Chemical and Oil & Gas.We’re an equal opportunities employer. To work for Rolls-Royce Submarines you need to hold a Security Check (SC) clearance without any caveats to that clearance. Rolls-Royce will support the application for Security Clearance if you don’t currently already have this in place. Due to the nature of work the business conducts and the protection of certain assets, you must hold a UK nationality. Any dual nationals will require additional scrutiny and background checks prior to commencing work with RRSL.
