Our client, a leader in the manufacturing field, is looking for a Mechanical Designer to join their team on a contract basis.

Description

The role will involve:

- Work with key local stakeholders to provide a best-in-class sales experience to our customer base

- Creating mechanical design layouts and process flows of equipment/systems as part of a Sales Design Team including: bulk material handling, conveying, crushing, screening, dust collection, storage, metering, detailed machine design, and process improvement

- Create supporting documents as required throughout the sales process

- Utilize ERP, external suppliers and contractors to generate accurate project cost estimates

- Support sales handover process with project managers and design teams following successful sale

- Communicate with design group and project management group to remain current on new equipment, innovations and project feedback

- Other tasks as required for the continued success of the Gyptech Sales Group

• Creating mechanical designs of equipment/systems as part of a design team including: bulk material handling, conveying, crushing, screening, dust collection, storage, metering, detailed machine design, and process improvement.

• Reviewing designs with our fabrication shop and others to ensure consistent design, fabrication and quality specifications.

• Providing onsite installation, troubleshooting, commissioning and maintenance support for our equipment in the field.

70% Designs, BOM, existing designs and new designs

30% Working with fabrication, manufacturing, project managers, and engineers

MUST HAVE: Mechanical Engineering Degree or Diploma with 5 + years' experience in design

MUST HAVE: Experience with material handling and heavy machinery design (installation and maintenance of machines would be an asset)

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $38.00 - $48.00/hr.
