Job Description
The Mechanical Designer works under the direction of the Design Engineer to design and develop a broad spectrum of engineering devices aimed at developing or improving product lines. This position involves working with metal fabrications, hydraulics, mechanical drive systems, pneumatics, pressurized water systems, and electrical systems.
ResponsibilitiesCollaborate with the Design Engineer to create innovative designs for engineering devices.Develop and improve product lines through detailed mechanical design work.Work with various systems including metal fabrications, hydraulics, mechanical drives, pneumatics, and pressurized water systems.Incorporate electrical systems into mechanical designs.Essential SkillsProficiency in mechanical design.Expertise in SolidWorks with at least 2 years of experience.Experience in assembly design and sheet metal design for a minimum of 2 years.Additional Skills & QualificationsAssociate degree in mechanical design or a related field.Work Environment
The department consists of 20 engineers who report to the engineering supervisor. The work environment is hands-on, set in a brand-new building established in 2020. The company, although publicly held, maintains a small company feel with 200 total employees.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $65000.00 - $75000.00/yr.
