Actalent Engineering is seeking qualified candidates for a Mechanical Designer opening with a product manufacturer located in Bellville, PA. This person will be responsible for the design of complex metal products and associated structures using Inventor as a design software. Below is a summary of responsibilities for this position: + Participate as part of the product development team in the design and development of various mechanical equipment + Create 3D models of products to customer specifications + Ensure designs are consistent with provided estimated drawings and measurements + Collaborate with manufacturing in the creation of detailed drawings to be fabricated by the manufacturing team + Implement various symbology (welding symbology, sheet metal bend tolerancing, GD&T) as needed into drawings to ensure accuracy when components are being fabricated Below is a summary of requirements for qualified candidates: + Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Engineering CAD Technology or a related discipline or an equivalent number of years of related work experience + 3D design experience (preferably using Inventor) + Experience working within a 2D CAD software (preferably AutoCAD) + Strong metals design experience (sheet metal, structural steel, and other weldments) + Strong design for manufacturability (DFM) knowledge About Actalent Actalent is a global leader in engineering and sciences services and talent solutions.
