Mechanical Designer
Job Title: Mechanical Designer Description: We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Designer to join our team. Under the general direction of the project engineer, this role involves designing fixtures and dies for the manufacturing of products through machining, welding, and fabrication. The ideal candidate will utilize CAD software such as NX, Creo, Solid Edge, and SpaceClaim to create designs for both new and existing parts. Key Responsibilities: + Design fixtures and dies for manufacturing processes including machining, welding, and fabrication. + Utilize CAD software (NX, Creo, Solid Edge, SpaceClaim) to develop and refine designs. + Collaborate with project engineers to ensure designs meet project requirements and specifications. + Read and interpret blueprints, symbols, and geometric tolerances based on military and commercial standards. + Provide tooling designs that are manufacturable, safe, accurate, and meet the project scope of work for all manufacturing processes. Skills and Qualifications: + Proficient in design and CAD software. + Experience with CNC machines. + Ability to read and interpret blueprints and symbols. + Knowledge of geometric tolerances based on military and commercial specifications. + Familiarity with NX, Creo, Solid Edge, and SpaceClaim. + 10+ years of tool design experience in the aerospace or aviation industry. Additional Skills & Qualifications: + Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills. + Excellent communication and teamwork abilities. + Ability to work under general direction and independently manage tasks. + Commitment to safety and quality in all designs. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $28.85 - $43.27 Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
