Environmental, Operations and Construction (EOC) operates within HDR’s Federal Business Group, capable of delivering services across all HDR business groups at any location. Our work is performed by our professional staff, scientists and engineers at remote sites, embedded in client office space or our own facilities. EOC delivers quality engineering, environmental, and construction management services at competitive prices.
In the role of Mechanical Designer, we'll count on you to:Assists with the evaluation of projects to determine the most appropriate and economical systems to serve a facilityAssists with the preparation of, or prepares, original design and preliminary and final design and of mechanical projects, including size, capacity, and economyPerforms HVAC designs for projects such as single or multi-storied barracks; academic complexes; aircraft flight control or simulation facilities; administrative, dining, and multipurpose centers; medical complexes; schools, child development centers; chapels; industrial, manufacturing, and special process facilities; warehouse and storage buildings; machine shops; vehicle, weapons, and fuel cell repair shops; recreation and resource operations buildings; commissaries; refrigeration and cold storage buildings; aircraft corrosion control and paint stripping facilitiesPerforms HVAC designs for projects such as single or multi-storied barracks; academic complexes; aircraft flight control or simulation facilities; administrative, dining, and multipurpose centers; medical complexes; schools, child development centers; chapels; industrial, manufacturing, and special process facilities; warehouse and storage buildings; machine shops; vehicle, weapons, and fuel cell repair shops; recreation and resource operations buildings; commissaries; refrigeration and cold storage buildings; aircraft corrosion control and paint stripping facilities.Participates in on-site inspectionsProduces plans, diagrams, reports, and assists with specificationsAssists in preparation of cost estimatesAssists in preparation of inspection reportsPerforms HVAC and mechanical calculationsPerforms drafting for HVAC and mechanical systemsWorks to closely with other engineers and draftersWork Environment
