Kforce has a client that is seeking a Mechanical Designer in Austin, TX (100% Onsite) for a 6 Months+ Contract with possible extension/conversion. Summary: The job entails working with a Senior Engineer and using Revit to prepare Mechanical construction drawings showing ductwork, ventilation and air conditioning, and general/process exhaust. The candidate would be expected to communicate effectively and timely with team members. Candidates must be able to prioritize and manage multiple deadlines to ensure high quality and productivity. Day to Day: * Modeling and coordinating with multiple disciplines * Taking PI&Ds and make into models * A lot of design model reviews * Have someone used to hopping on a call and presenting design * Go through their thought process - proper communicator and speak in detail Responsibilities: * Develop mechanical construction packages for permitting and construction * Layout equipment with planned move-in/move-out path, maintenance access * Produce and update equipment schedules from Revit model families * Develop Process and Instrumentation Diagrams * Coordinating with other disciplines to ensure that all technical areas are covered and that all project objectives and schedules are met * Resolving design issues creatively and thoroughly coordinating design with other disciplines
