Job Duties and Qualifications + Under general supervision, applies basic design logic to perform engineering changes and to construct assembly drawings for complex equipment + Works with given specifications, requirements, or instructions + Expert in proper part modeling techniques + Creates product structures in PDM systems + Prepares complex design layouts and/or schematics based on rough sketches or instructions from engineering personnel + Responsible for drafting quality in design documentation + Checks drawings of other design personnel for completeness and accuracy as required. Aware of tolerance requirements for proper function of equipment + Performs tolerance studies on tools for proper function of equipment + Utilizes and exchanges expertise of the materials and methods + Applies expertise of manufacturing, production processes, operations, and maintenance practices to designs. Incorporates reliability, HSE and Quality analysis techniques during the design process + Job tasks impact indirectly on cost containment, efficiency, profitability or operations Drafting and Design Software Skills: + SolidWorks + AutoCAD + CWI + SolidWorks PDM Education Requirement: + Skills typically acquired through the completion of an associate's degree in drafting or similar discipline and 5 years of related experience or through 7 years of related drafting experience + Candidates having qualifications that exceed the minimum job requirements will receive consideration for higher level roles given (1) their experience, (2) additional job requirements, and/or (3) business needs.
