JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Responsible for the creation of Building Information Models (BIM) for various electric power gensets in accordance with the latest BIM modeling standards.
* Work closely with the project team leader on a daily basis to review, project timelines, project scope changes and priorities.
* Collaborate with peers to troubleshoot issues with existing BIM models.
* Complete projects in a timely manner to meet customer due dates and the Team leads" project schedule.
* Communicate to the Team lead any delays or issues that are encountered during a project so that the project schedule can be kept up to date.
* Work with project team leader daily to review projects scope, status, and deadlines
* Research target products to identify all performance data required to create requested BIM models
* Use latest BIM modeling practices to develop BIM models of target products
* Interface with project engineers to address any questions pertaining to project scope requirements.
* Complete projects in a timely manner in alignment with project engineer"s expectations
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
* 2 year technical school degree in computer aided drafting program or 2+ years equivalent experience
* Experience with Autodesk REVIT
* Experience with BIM modeling using Autodesk Revit
* Microsoft Excel experience (vlookups, pivot tables)
* Creativity, verbal and written communication skills, analytical and problem solving ability.
* Team player and detail oriented.
* Basic knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models.
* Basic knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology.
* Novice level experience with parametric 3d modeling and drafting softwares (i.e. Autocad, Autodesk Revit, Creo).
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
* Prior mechanical drafting experience (preferably for equipment based mechanical components)
* Experience with 3D parametric drafting/modeling softwares (ex. PTC Creo, Solidworks, Autodesk Inventor)
* Experience with lifecycle management tools (i.e. Teamcenter, Windchill, etc.)
* Proficiency in application of Geometric Dimensioning and tolerancing on drawings (specifically related to ASME Y14.5 standards)
* AutoCad experience
* 3DS Max experience
