Job Description
- 90% of the day in autocad creating drawings
- 10% of the day will be communicating with the design and engineering team.
- Primarily modifying existing drawings based off a template
- products designing: Dampers, Louvers, screens, HVAC components, and shades for sky scrapers and large building projects
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
List what the person must do to perform the job to meet standards.
• Design products that meet the design intent and conform to manufacturing norms
• Prepares submittal drawings for customers using AutoCAD
• Draws fabrication drawings for factory using AutoCAD or Inventor
• Draws parts drawings and extrusions using AutoCAD or Inventor
• Prepares Bill of Material
• Performs other similar or related duties as required or requested
Must Have:
- 3+ years experience with mechanical design or drafting
- AutoCAD 2d is a MUST HAVE minimum of 1-2 years work experience
- Ability to use computer software, primarily MS Excel
- associates degree or trade school related to CAD
Nice To Have
- AutoCAD 3d, inventor, solidworks will be a plus
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work independently
- Architecture design experience or education a plus
- Tech school or associate level, more about the work experience than the education
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $28.00/hr.
