Our engineering team approaches projects in a holistic manner, considering the interdependence of numerous systems to provide our clients with facilities that optimize operations, maximize cost savings, and reduce incidence of failure. Our engineers understand that each project requires knowledge of intricate construction processes to skillfully blend technical expertise with the experience of our multidisciplinary professional team. We are currently searching for a Mechanical EIT for our Pittsburgh office. The individual will be responsible for:

Designing mechanical systems for highly integrated facilities. Perform load calculations, static pressure calculations, pump head calculations, and energy analysis. Develop mechanical specifications, 3D BIM modeling of systems, and mechanical equipment schedules. The applicant will be expected to work independently with minor guidance on small projects or assist more senior engineers on larger projects.Position may include field investigation and mechanical inspection for projects. As required, the Mechanical EIT is expected to work with others, with the team, or outside of the team to complete mechanical system designs for more complex projects.

Preferred qualifications:

Strong engineering software skills (Trane TRACE or similar, and equipment selection software). Strong communication skills, self-motivated, organized, attention to accuracy, detail orientated, flexible, and able to work both independently and with a project team to completion of tasks. Ability to supervise work of Mechanical BIM/Revit Technicians, and coordinate design of assigned projects with architectural staff and other engineering disciplines. Attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must. Teachable. Willingness to be mentored by senior-level mechanical engineers.Bachelors or Masters Degree in Mechanical or Architectural Engineering.Up to 5 years' experience with mechanical system design. Position requires high verbal and written communication skills.Prefer proficiency with BIM/Revit.Interest in sustainable design a must.EIT or ability to obtain. Candidates hire without their EIT will be titled "Mechanical Designer", and they will be expected to obtain their EIT for career progressionLocal candidates preferredRequired Qualifications
