Job DescriptionITW Hartness is looking for a Mechanical/Electrical Technician – Field Support with strong ability to assemble, read blueprints, apply mechanical and electrical skills, and use basic hand tools in a production environment. You will need to work safely in a fast-paced team environment and meet the production schedule while producing quality work. This role will work on site in our Greenville location as well as travel to customer sites for Field Support.
Primary Responsibilities:
You must be able to understand equipment assembly functionsMust be able to read and utilize calipers and a multimeterUnderstanding of basic electricity and cable sizesMust be able to read and understand blueprints, electrical symbols, and electrical schematics Understand the inner working of pneumatic values Ability to troubleshoot and find the root cause of issues as well as think logically about solutions Aptitude with machine diagnostics, functionality, and equipment testing Critical thinking skills to diagnose problems and repair issues in an effective manner Multitasking capability with ability to identify and execute priority tasks Ability to utilize an array of electrical tooling; such as, strippers, crimpers, and terminal torque wrenches Basic understanding of AC/DC circuits and Ohm’s LawProvide excellent customer service and support during field visits, and tie workflow to schedules to ensure maximum efficiency.Satisfy customer needs by making appropriate recommendations and using appropriate field automation systems, procedures, and protocols.Capable, willing, and interested in traveling up to 20%-50% with a valid Driver’s License, which includes commercial air travel.QualificationsHigh School Diploma or equivalent, Associates Degree in a related field preferred 1-3 Years of Mechanical & Electrical ExperienceDisplay genuine interest in helping the customer and solving their problemsStrong work ethic, drive to succeed, customer service orientation as well as strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills and ability to multi-task and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environmentExpected to provide daily reports when supporting field activities and submit expense reports in accordance with ITW Hartness Travel Policy.Physical Demands:
