Job Title: Mechanical Engineer Job Description We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer to play a pivotal role in configuring and developing solutions based on sales order requirements and specifications. The ideal candidate will collaborate with various teams to produce customer drawings and act as the technical lead on assigned projects, ensuring effective resolution of issues and successful project completion. Responsibilities + Evaluate sales order requirements and specifications to configure and develop solutions. + Collaborate with Sales and customers to resolve requirements. + Work with Electrical Engineers and Drafting to produce customer drawings. + Act as the technical lead on assigned projects. + Coordinate with internal groups such as Assembly, Procurement, and field technicians during start-up to resolve issues. + Approve project releases to Manufacturing. + Work with Assembly and Test departments to resolve issues encountered during build and test. + Contribute to project teams to deliver cost-effective and manufacturable designs. + Provide updates on project status and timeline. Essential Skills + Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering. + 5+ years of experience in designing and developing electromechanical products. + Experience in designing sheet metal products. + Proficiency in development, design, and engineering of mechanical and electrical systems using both 2D and 3D CAD software, with a preference for Creo. + Experience with OEM design activities using mechanical design software packages and 3D modeling software. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Knowledge of basic electrical concepts, such as current carrying capability of conductors, ampacity, and electrical spacing requirements. + Experience in electrical testing. + Customer experience. + Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) experience. + Professional Engineer (PE) License. + Understanding of seismic, wind, and vibration calculations. Work Environment The work environment consists primarily of an office setting currently attached to a manufacturing floor, with plans to relocate to a dedicated office space in the coming months. The successful candidate will be part of a team of engineers, spending 90% of their day at a desk and 10% on the manufacturing floor.
