Job Description
This position requires a professional who will support the factory operations and act as a liaison between the design team and production to mitigate any issues found during manufacturing. The role involves diagnosing design issues, conducting print reviews, collaborating with designers to generate engineering change requests, and reviewing Bills of Materials (BOMs).
ResponsibilitiesModify existing databases and database management systems or direct programmers and analysts to implement changes.Write and code logical and physical database descriptions, specifying identifiers of databases to the management system, or direct others in coding descriptions.Work as part of a project team to coordinate database development and determine project scope and limitations.Review project requests that describe database user needs to estimate the time and cost required to accomplish the project.Essential SkillsStrong verbal and written communication skills.Problem-solving skills and a customer service-oriented approach.Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently.Basic knowledge of the full software development lifecycle, from business and systems analysis through requirements gathering and functional specification authoring to development testing and delivery.Ability to troubleshoot issues and make system changes as needed to resolve problems.Understanding of circuit boards, processors, electronic equipment, and computer hardware and software.Knowledge of computer development software across multiple platforms.Additional Skills & QualificationsBachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a relevant field is required.2-4 years of experience in mechanical engineering, design engineering, or manufacturing engineering.Must have engineering experience, MET, EET, or similar qualifications.Experience in engineering design, including 3D modeling and understanding of assembly instructions.Proficiency in Excel, Teamcenter, Creo, engineering change orders, root cause analysis, bill of material, engine, electrical engineering, wire harness, and schematic.Previous CAT experience is a plus.Knowledge of diesel engines or gensets is desirable.Work Environment
This position is onsite, requiring attendance five days a week.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $35.00/hr.
