Job Description

We are seeking a talented Mechanical Engineer or Designer to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in our Mechanical team, with a focus on HVAC layout and design for K-12 schools in the MN, SD, and ND areas. This position involves working on both remodels and new construction projects, contributing to equipment selection, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.

ResponsibilitiesDevelop and design HVAC layouts for K-12 school projects.Collaborate with architectural and MEP teams on remodel and new construction projects.Assist in the selection of mechanical equipment for various projects.Utilize Revit software for mechanical design tasks.Participate in a two-round interview process, including a virtual interview and an in-person meeting.Essential SkillsBachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or an Associate's Degree in Design.A minimum of 6 years of experience in design or engineering focusing on HVAC layouts and equipment.Professional Engineer (P.E.) license acquired or ability to acquire.Additional Skills & Qualifications6+ months of experience in K-12 school projects.1+ years of project management experience.Work Environment

The work environment includes a two-round interview process: the first round being virtual and the second round conducted in-person at the office or during a lunch meeting. The role is based in an architectural and engineering firm that emphasizes collaboration across architecture and MEP disciplines.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Minneapolis, Minnesota.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $65.00/hr.
