Mechanical Engineer

As a Mechanical Engineer Project Leader for Mott MacDonald Bentley (MMB) you will be working in a creative and challenging environment, delivering a wide range of projects across our Northumbrian Water framework. Responsible for the delivery of efficient and sustainable solutions, you will work within a multi-disciplinary project team in the delivery of water and wastewater treatment solutions from inception through to completion of construction.

 

We believe the best engineering projects are delivered by engineers, so we combine the traditional Project Manager and Mechanical Engineer roles into a single, Project Leader role.

Your work as a Project Mechanical Engineer will include the following activities:

Leading the interfaces and integration of the mechanical design with that of other disciplines.Managing and preparation of mechanical design deliverables (such as calculations, drawings for plant general arrangements, documentation, schedules, specifications and design reports) to achieve the correct time / cost / quality balance for the project.Development of efficient and sustainable engineering solutions, meeting the requirements of the project scope.

 

Candidate Specification :

 

IMechE accredited degree in Mechanical Engineering.Chartered member of the IMechE or ability to demonstrate progress made toward membership.Outline and detailed design experience of water or wastewater projects.Knowledge of the Designer or Principal Designer duties under CDM 2015.
