Mechanical Engineer- Skelleftea 

To €80,000 DOE + Living Allowance + Package 

We are assisting a top-tier engineering contractor specialising in delivering high-quality services for a variety of industries in their search for an experienced Mechanical Engineer for a Battery Plant project. As a Mechanical Engineer, you are responsible for designing, developing, and testing mechanical systems and components including collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure that all mechanical aspects of projects are delivered on time, within the budget, and to the highest quality standards.   

Key Responsibilities & Requirements:  

Manage design and development of mechanical systems, components and products using relevant software and engineering principles ensuring they meet project requirements and industry standards. 

Collaborate with cross- functional teams, including electrical engineers, software engineers and project managers to integrate mechanical systems into overall project designs. 

Examine and keep track of tests to oversee the performance and functionality of mechanical designs.  

Review test data and make recommendations for design improvements & optimizations.  

Prepare precise engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation for mechanical designs.  

Generate and present reports to communicate design concepts, analysis, and test results to stakeholders.  

Manage effective communication with clients/stakeholders.  

Keep track of project records of design changes, revisions, and project developments.  

Collaborate with team members, suppliers, and clients to address technical inquiries, resolve issues, and ensure project success.  

Participate in meetings & design reviews to contribute ideas and insights to the overall design process.  

Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.  

5+ years of experience in Mechanical Engineering role.  

Knowledgeable in Mechanical Engineering software and Engineering analysis tools.  

Strong knowledge of mechanical principles, systems, and processes.  

Experience in Battery Plant projects is beneficial.  

Prominent level of attention to detail, with a commitment to producing high-quality work that meets/exceeds industry standards.  

Effective communication and teamwork ability.
