Job Title: Mechanical Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking 15 Drafters, 7 Designers, and 6 Engineers to support a new program with the Navy focused on developing simulators for Navy aircrafts. The current team of 14 drafters needs expansion to sustain the workload. The Mechanical Engineer will be involved in the full lifecycle product development, including designing, developing, testing prototypes, manufacturing, and implementation. They will ensure all designs meet customer requirements and standards, test theoretical designs, and evaluate the final product's performance, reliability, and safety. The role also involves troubleshooting mechanical discrepancies, preparing product reports, and assisting in creating production drawings. Additionally, the engineer will aid in process improvement programs, coordinate with various personnel, provide leadership and technical guidance, recommend design approaches, and conduct design reviews.

This is a fully on-site position in Jacksonville, Florida.

Work Environment

The role involves working in a manufacturing environment, coordinating with drafters, technical writers, engineering technicians, and machine shop personnel. The engineer will also participate in design reviews with manufacturing and other applicable disciplines.
