Mechanical Engineer

As a Mechanical Engineer, you’ll play a vital role in driving our commitment to safety, quality, and efficiency! You’ll be at the forefront of meeting Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) while ensuring our products comply with industry regulations and company standards. Your knack for project management will shine as you prioritize and lead exciting initiatives, collaborating with a dynamic team of engineers, technicians, and designers on innovative equipment projects.

 

You'll dive into feasibility studies, analyze production data, and implement industry best practices to boost reliability and efficiency. Guiding the Maintenance team in troubleshooting and diagnosing equipment issues will be part of your mission, along with designing experiments and documenting solutions that elevate our plant performance. You’ll lead engaging problem-solving sessions, mentor production staff, and create Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to streamline operations.

What you will need to bring:

Bachelor’s degree with an emphasis in engineering or related field of study and three (3) years of related engineering experience; an equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered Experience analyzing production equipment, processes and materials and solving issues Knowledge of various statistical and quality methodologies including but not limited to Statistical Process Control (SPC), Statistical Quality Control (SQC), 5S, 8D, Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA), Root Cause Analysis, Gage Repeatability and Reproducibility (R&R), and Design of Experiments (DOE) Prior experience working with thermoforming, injection molding, print, and/or paper equipment and processes Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of product Ability to successfully prioritize, and organize projects, deadlines, and tasks with little supervision in both team and independent environments Strong verbal and written skills necessary to communicate intricate job-related information
