Professional engineering firm in Missoula, MT is looking to add a Senior Level Mechanical Engineer to their growing team. This firm is a dynamic team of structural, mechanical, electrical and technology engineers that provides full spectrum building engineering solutions to clients throughout the Western United States. Their approach to all of their projects as a single building system allows them to leverage the latest 3D design and analytical technologies to deliver innovative solutions that exceed client expectations and define excellence.
The firm consults, designs, and innovates engineering solutions for clients of every size and ME will lead projects and provide design expertise. Missoula is a highly sought after community located halfway between Yellowstone and Glacier National Parks. It provides great summer and winter recreation, excellent schools, a thriving downtown, and all of the other benefits of a university town.
Essential Functions: Lead / product technical project plans, specifications, drawings, and models that meet specifications and client needs for HVAC and Plumbing systems. Perform and/or evaluate all calculations required for the electrical design packages and verify codes. Lead and mentor the Mechanical Engineering staff with emphasis on employee growth, project success, and performance. Apply standard design techniques and procedures and exercised judgement in making minor adaptations and modifications to design concepts. Ensure quality control. Work with Engineers, Designers, PMs and other Stakeholders on specific assigned objectives, complex features, and aid in deriving possible solutions. Coordinate needs, designs and develop and understanding with other design disciplines, (mechanical, structural, process/chemical, architectural, etc) for design package needs. Perform field verifications / site walks to identify, verify, resolve, and incorporate solutions into design packages.
Qualifications: Active Professional Engineer license, Mechanical preferred Minimum 4 years as an EIT and 2 years as a PE.
